Company Description

Sport en Commun is a pan-African digital platform for a transformation through sport through the connection of project leaders with structures capable of financing their actions and supporting them in their realization.

Achieving the SDGs through sport

As a unifier and vector of inclusion, sport is mentioned in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: it contributes to peace, the empowerment of women and youth and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In line with President Macron’s speech in Ouagadougou in 2017 highlighting the role of sport in economic and social development and in the inclusion of youth in Africa, the Sport en Commun digital platform was launched at the initiative of the French Development Agency.

Sport en Commun also echoes the press conference held at the Elysée Palace in February 2018 by Presidents Weah and Macron focused on the launch of a platform dedicated to Africa, incubations, funding and partnerships for inclusive sport.

Connecting the worlds of sport and the world of financing for development

It is now difficult for project leaders to find support and financing structures, and complexity increases when projects reach large sizes.

A pan-African platform led by Dakar, Sport en Commun aims to promote the support and financing of projects related to development through sport in Africa. Based on the offer of existing solutions complemented by a tailor-made service offer, the Sport en Commun platform is positioned as a one-stop shop through four main missions:

  • Promote and accelerate the financing of projects of any size (micro, meso and macro)
  • Promote and accelerate the support of projects throughout their life cycle
  • Streamline connections and interactions between actors
  • Ensure the promotion of the theme and promote the sharing and feedback of experiences

 

Ensure services as close as possible to user expectations

Sport en Commun teams are positioned as a real relay of the various players in the sport & development ecosystem, from project leaders to funding institutions: management of calls for projects, structuring of files, qualification of projects, drafting of targeted studies, organization of training sessions…

Through the deployment of a one-stop shop for tailor-made solutions, the platform is resolutely user-oriented and continuously adapts to the different needs and expectations expressed.
