Who we are
Safe Online exists to catalyse and accelerate innovative solutions making the internet a safe place for children to explore, learn and develop.
We are an investment vehicle supported by government, philanthropic and private donors, working in partnership with a wide range of civil society, academic, industry and policymaking institutions committed to building a safer internet and tackling harms to children.
The internet is still a new technology where coordinated effort to improve safety and enhance human rights is ever more vital. Safe Online is a natural cornerstone for growing and expanding these efforts, ensuring continuity of service as well as new opportunities for cooperation.
At Safe Online, we:
- Invest in strengthening systems, building capacities, and innovative technology solutions to tackle online harms to children.
- Generate new knowledge and evidence on what works; convene and connect organisations across sectors to strengthen collaborative efforts; and work with governments, the public and key actors.
- Raise awareness and advocate with governments, industry and other key stakeholders to prioritise online child safety in their policies, budgets and business practices.

We are always looking to develop new partnerships with a broader and more diverse pool of donors, grantees and champions.
