About Us

Redbelly was born at the University of Sydney when Prof. Vincent Gramoli set out to see if he could build a fork-proof blockchain. He could, and through a rigorous scientific development process, in partnership with CSIRO, The Redbelly Network was commercialised in 2021 with our Mainnet launch scheduled for Q3 2023.

Our Ambition

Redbelly is the bridge between our economy as it is today, and the web3 economy of the future. Redbelly is the only accountable blockchain. It is open, fast, scalable, cost effective and natively compatible with assets in regulated markets. We bring the enforceability of regulation from the real world to meet the efficiency and innovation of the digital world, seamlessly. No other blockchain can do what we can do.

Governance

The Redbelly Network Governance DAO is a decentralised autonomous organisation focused on protocol governance, token dynamics, ecosystem support and administration. Redbelly Network Pty Ltd is a private company registered in Australia whose sole purpose is to focus on layer-1 development of the Redbelly Protocol and enable the widespread adoption of Redbelly blockchain technology in the real world. The two entities will operate independently.

At Redbelly, we want to encourage collaboration and foster an environment where individuals and organisations can work together and create new solutions and advance technology. Redbelly Network is a network that fully supports regulation, where all participants in the network are known so that everyone, everywhere, has an equal opportunity to trade or exchange value, where everyone is accountable for their actions and held to the rule of law.
