About PMNCH
Established in 2005, PMNCH is the world’s largest alliance for women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health and well-being, with +1,300 partner organizations working together through 10 constituency groups: partner governments, donors and foundations, NGOs, adolescent and youth groups, private sector organizations, health professional associations, academic and research institutions, global financing mechanisms, inter-governmental organizations, and UN agencies. PMNCH is hosted by the World Health Organization, based in Geneva.
Vision is a world in which every woman, child and adolescent is able to realize their right to health and well-being, leaving no one behind.
Mission is to mobilize, align and amplify the voices of partners to advocate for women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health and well-being, particularly the most vulnerable.
Our work
PMNCH’s role is to contribute to further worldwide progress for women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health and well-being. To achieve this, PMNCH’s work has three focus areas: maternal, newborn and child health; sexual and reproductive health and rights; and adolescent health and well-being. The challenges in all these areas are now exacerbated by the health and socioeconomic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, whose full implications for health outcomes and rights are not yet known. However, there is no doubt that equitable and high-quality health services and systems matter more today than ever before.
