10 Years in Action

Here’s a video to celebrate a decade of our Ambassador Community taking action to impact over 50Million people across the globe.

We’re proud of our role developing young leaders by:

  • Inspiring them to increase their impact
  • Building their expertise and capacity to act
  • Elevating their profiles locally and globally

WHAT WE DO

Lead2030
The world’s biggest prize fund for young leaders making an impact for the Sustainable Development Goals.

From ending extreme poverty to protecting our oceans, the Sustainable Development Goals are an ambitious roadmap to a sustainable future. To make this future a reality by 2030, we need a generation of young leaders who are meaningfully engaged with the Sustainable Development Goals and are working purposefully to achieve them.

Formed by One Young World and powered by some of the world’s leading businesses, Lead2030 finds, funds and accelerates SDG solutions created by founders under 30.

COVID-19 Young Leaders Fund
Fighting the Coronavirus on the front lines with One Young World

In May 2020, One Young World established a fund for young leaders on the frontlines of the COVID-19 response. By directing money to leaders on the front lines, One Young World ensured that resources are being accessed by those who need them most.

Around the world, One Young World Ambassadors continue to combat the coronavirus with the most innovative methods in the most challenging circumstances.

This global crisis demands a global response. One Young World is meeting that challenge.

Building Peace

One Young World works with governmental and multilateral partners to inspire young leaders to build peace and elevate the profiles of young leaders.

The One Young World Peace Ambassador Programme, in partnership with the European Commission, supports young people working to prevent and counter violent extremism (P/CVE) in their communities.

Since 2017, the European Commission has supported 240 young people in developing countries who are active in P/CVE and peacebuilding initiatives.

All of the selected candidates have an excellent track record of leadership, are engaged in at least one, and often multiple, initiatives in their local communities and represent a diverse range of geographical backgrounds, religions and ideological affiliations to support peace globally.

The 2022 Manchester Summit welcomed 50 Peace Ambassadors supported by the European Commission from 41 different countries. The 2022 Peace Ambassador Programme focused on the role of disinformation in fuelling hate speech, conflict and violent extremism.

The OYW Ambassador community is made up of 13,700+ young leaders from every sector and country. The young leaders in this community range from rising talent from some of the world’s leading brands to independent activists and innovative social entrepreneurs.

We believe this community is at its best and most impactful when Ambassadors from different walks of life collaborate to share skills and best practice. That’s why we’ve launched OYWConnects, an Ambassador-led skills exchange that connects Ambassadors from the private sector with those leading their own social enterprises and initiatives to further develop those actions.
