ORIGIN

The Esperanza Pertusa Foundation was born with a very clear vocation of service to society, especially to groups in vulnerable situations as part of the mandate of its President, Esperanza Pertusa.

Esperanza is the soul of the Foundation, and without her Gioseppo would not be possible either. The Foundation began in 2013 under the protection of his enthusiasm and entrepreneurial impulse and Gioseppo’s sense of social responsibility.

The objective of our Foundation is as simple as trying to give back to society part of what it gives us.

MISSION

Our Foundation enjoys a plural, apolitical and independent character, whose sole purpose is to contribute to sustainable human development and offer opportunities to people to lead the life they want on an equal footing with the rest of society. From the entity, we focus our efforts on supporting groups in vulnerable conditions, reinforcing their essential freedoms such as the right to a healthy and long life, the possibility of acquiring knowledge and thus laying firm foundations for the future.

VISION

We want to demonstrate with actions the spirit of Gioseppo and the commitment to a fair, global and plural society, based on equal rights and opportunities for all people.

At the Esperanza Pertusa Foundation, we believe in the transformative power of the commitment to a more just and equal society on the planet, in which equal rights and opportunities are not just a mirage in the future.

VALUES

The people who make up the Esperanza Pertusa and Gioseppo Foundation share a series of values ​​that help us move forward to achieve the mission we have set ourselves and build the world to which we aspire.

• We believe in people. We believe in the power of people to change the world. People are the central axis of our activity and for this reason we like to feel close to them to build a better world.

• We understand Diversity as an opportunity. The understanding and recognition of cultural diversity enriches us culturally and improves social coexistence.

• We give special priority to gender equity. Our society has a lot to do to achieve equal development opportunities for men and women, according to their own conditions and needs.

• We start from the basis that Solidarity is an attitude that is learned by acting, sharing, experiencing it. That is why we try to put ourselves in the shoes of other people who have had less access to opportunities than us to contribute to a more just world.

COMMITMENT TO THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

In 2015, framed in the 70th edition of the United Nations General Assembly , the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was approved , a text that establishes 17 Goals to be achieved, known as SDGs , and 169 goals within those goals that link to more than 190 countries.

This declaration decrees that  “these objectives and targets are universal and affect the entire world, both developed and developing countries, are integrated and indivisible and combine the three dimensions (social, economic and environmental) of sustainable development.” » .

The Esperanza Pertusa Foundation joins this global challenge by doing its bit and focusing its global strategy on achieving some of these Sustainable Development Goals , those that in one way or another affect our environment or have a path shared with our areas. of acting.
